Piscataqua (meaning- The Twilight) was the name first given to this area by the Lenape Indians. Started in January of 1994 by Sensei George Maldonado in cooperation with the Piscataway recreation department. The Piscataqua Dojo continues to grow, offering free classes for Piscataway children, teens and adults only.

All instructors are certified in rank by the Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts Association, and certified by Piscataway Township's "Kid Safe" program which does extensive background checks.
