Tambo Seminar at Satori Dojo
The northeast Region had an excellent Tambo training seminar, hosted by Satori Dojo

February 2nd, 2008

More than 30 participants enjoyed the Tambo training seminar at Satori Dojo in Phoenixville, PA on Saturday Feburary 2nd, 2008. It covered the entire Tambo curriculum of the Cuong Nhu requirements right from one Brown stripe to two Black stripes.

Sensei Joe and Cathy Varady gave insight into an array of training equipment they have researched and invented to help their students train better in Tambo techniques. We covered topics like -

  • Basic strikes, using small targets to improve accuracy of strikes
  • Disarming in long, medium and close range
  • Tambo-1 Kata and it's applications,
  • the best part Tambo sparring with protective gear and foam covered tambos.

It was a terrific event and everyone had a great time.
